Southern Colorado Velo - Promoting the Sport of Cycling

Southern ColoradoVelo  represents an emerging bicycle club and racing team in the Colorado Springs area. Membership is open and nonexclusive regardless of cycling experience or racing category. It is a team for everyone, from beginners to pros. All cycling disciplines (Road, Track, Mountain, Cyclocross,Triathlon, and Duathlon) and levels (Category1-5, Junior, and trained recreational) are encouraged and welcome. It is a giving team where experienced riders can share their passion and experience and give back to the sport they love. And more importantly, So.Co. Velo is a team where camaraderie develops through racing, riding and training together. We are an American Cycling Association, Colorado Velodrome Association, and USA Cycling registered team.

Club Tier: Club members may join without the intent of meeting any racing obligations, and simply enjoy the camaraderie of an open and friendly club.  We do not discriminate based on age, gender, racing intent, or cycling experience.  Our primary goal is to promote cycling.

Racing Tier: Racing team members will be required to participate in a minimum of five races in any event and discipline (road, track, cx, mtb, multi-sport) per year.  Our team sponsors have provided a limited number of pro-deal purchase opportunities for 2010, as such, these will only be available to race team members in order to help mitigate the cost of traveling to events and bicycle maintenance associated with racing and training.

All Members: All SoCo Velo members will receive a discount on bicycles (10%), parts (20%), and repairs (25%) at Bicycle Village in Colorado Springs.  All members are required to volunteer for one of our events, purchase one jersey and short/bib per year, and adhere to our general, commonsense code of conduct.
